About

This site is my personal take on agentic engineering: building real software when coding agents do most of the typing and the human keeps the understanding. I've been working this way daily, in anger, since January 2025, on everything from personal game dev projects to personal productivity software, open source that supports agentic engineering itself (cairns and timbers, primarily), photography software, always-on assistant agents running in openclaw and hermes, and my professional engineering consulting engagements. The essays here are what survived that contact with practice.

The first track, Agentic Engineering, walks the workflow end to end. Subjects here will likely range across agentic engineering, indie game development, and photography software — the places I actually put this way of working to use. Posts are long, walked slowly, and written to hold up as references rather than news.

How this is written

In the spirit of full disclosure: the prose on this site is drafted by Claude, working from my notes, arguments, and lived examples, then revised and approved by me before anything publishes. The site itself is built and operated the same way, with the same workflow the essays describe. I consider that a feature. If the method couldn't produce the site about the method, you'd want to know.

I'm Bob Bergman. The rest of my work lives at gorewood.games, gorewood.photo, and glass.photo/rbergman.
